- Classic Edition: No Longer Available
- Power Edition: $695.00 While supplies last!
Join the tens of thousands of DragonDictate users who control
their PCs and work directly in their applications simply by speaking.
This version uses DISCRETE Speech (pauses between
words).
No matter what occupation you are in, a DragonDictate speech recognition system enables you to be more productive in using the software on which you already depend.
Why DragonDictate?
DragonDictate for Windows is a fast and accurate speech recognition
system that instantly converts what you say into written text
right on your PC screen. You can start dictating immediately,
using speaker-independent models. DragonDictate for Windows then
adapts to the way you talk while you dictate to become even more
accurate. Dragon's QuickTalkTM technology makes dictation even faster
than ever before by shortening the pause required between words.
PC Magazine (May 14, 1996) called the pause "barely noticeable."
With DragonDictate, you can:
DragonDictate Understands
You
DragonDictate's robust "speaker-independent" models
ensure high accuracy. The system then gets even better as it automatically
adapts the acoustic model to dialects and the language model to
speaking patterns during use. DragonDictate dynamically adjusts
to changes in background noise. There is no need to run a lengthy
"enrollment" session.
DragonDictate has
Your Words
The extensive 120,000 word integrated vocabulary covers an extremely
broad range of topics, names and places. Optional DragonPro modules
expand the vocabulary to 180,000 words with specialized industry
and professional terms.
Whenever you need a word that DragonDictate doesn't know, you can add it easily. Just say the word and spell it once. That's it. You can add up to 60,000 words that way (up to the size of the entire active vocabulary).
DragonDictate Works
with Your Applications
Dictate, edit, move and format text or data directly into virtually
any Windows application (see System Requirements). You can issue
commands, pull down menus, or push dialog box buttons just by
saying what you see on the screen. DragonDictate instantly supports
custom software and new versions of products that you already
use. There is no need to waste time by running a lengthy "Command
Learning" process or by cutting-and-pasting from a special
"dictation window."
DragonDictate Works
with Your PC
DragonDictate works in a wide variety of systems with built-in
16-bit audio or industry standard sound cards, such as the Creative
Labs SoundBlaster 16 (see System Requirements). DragonDictate
includes a high quality microphone.
DragonDictate is
Fast and Accurate
Our combination of new patented technology and user-oriented features
makes DragonDictate faster than ever. Speed can be even further
improved with voice macros. A single word or phrase can be expanded
into lengthy text or a series of commands. DragonDictate comes
with more than 4500 macros, including commands for surfing the
Internet!
A true continuous number recognizer lets you quickly and naturally dictate strings of numbers, columns of digits, telephone numbers and postal codes. In addition, fully continuous phrases may be used for commands and navigation. It allows for natural phrases such as "bold next four words" and "move down three paragraphs" without any pauses.
MouseGrid, our patented mouse voice controller, speeds up navigation and control. You can quickly move the mouse pointer to a precise spot on the screen just by saying a few words.
